Zum 9th International Performance Art Đ Tag am 11. September 2010 in der Turbine Giswil
haben die beiden Kuratoren Monika Günther und Ruedi Schill 8 Performerinnen und Performer aus Europa, Canada, Singapur und Thailand eingeladen.

Die riesige Halle in Giswil wird wieder Treffpunkt für ZuschauerInnen aus der ganzen Schweiz und dem benachbarten Ausland.

Die eingeladenen Künstlerinnen und Künstler sind aus verschiedenen Generationen. Es werden unterschiedliche Positionen der Performance Art zu sehen sein. Die meisten PerformerInnen und Performer haben schon eine längere Zeit ihre Arbeiten präsentiert und an vielen Festivals im Ausland teilgenommen

Das von Jason Lim (Singapore) formulierte Statement gibt einen wichtigen Hinweis auf das Anliegen der künstlerischen Leitung des Giswiler Performance Art Tages 2010:

ăFor me, to perform is to practice, and to learn. The performance before the last informs
on the next one; each performance is therefore a practice, a lesson and exercise. It is
also an investigation into what to do and how to do it, and how to ask and how to answer.
I'll try to create an experience that makes people look inwardly, something that will trigger
thinking or feeling. I like it when art does that for me, when I feel some kind of wonder
and excitement, and when it makes me think. It is something that people can relate to
for themselves. Art should ask questions, makes people ask themselves hard questions,
and doing so, to get an answer."
